Mode of Examination for Sainik School Entrance (AISSEE):

The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) is conducted once a year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in offline mode (pen-and-paper-based test).

Duration of Test:

The exam duration depends on the class for which a student is applying:
🕒 Class 6: 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes)
🕒 Class 9: 180 minutes (3 hours)

Documents Required for Sainik School Admission:

Candidates must submit the following documents during the admission process:

Birth Certificate (Issued by the municipal authority)
Domicile Certificate (Proof of residence)
Caste Certificate (For SC/ST/OBC candidates)
Income Certificate (For scholarship eligibility)
Aadhaar Card (Mandatory for verification)
School Study Certificate (From the current school)
Photographs (Passport-size)

Eligibility to Appear in Sainik School Entrance Exam:

🔹 For Class 6 Admission:

  • Age: 10 to 12 years as of March 31 of the year of admission.
  • Gender: Both boys and girls are eligible.
  • Education: Candidate must have completed Class 5 from a recognized school.

🔹 For Class 9 Admission:

  • Age: 13 to 15 years as of March 31 of the year of admission.
  • Gender: Only boys are eligible.
  • Education: Candidate must have completed Class 8 from a recognized school.

Qualifications and Qualifying Examination:

  • Candidates must appear for the AISSEE (All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam).
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    • General/OBC/NRI: 25% in each subject and 40% overall.
    • SC/ST: No minimum marks required but must qualify in the merit list.
  • After clearing the written test, candidates must pass the medical examination for final selection.

The application process is online through the NTA official website.

3️⃣ Upload documents (Aadhaar, birth certificate, domicile certificate, etc.).
4️⃣ Pay the application fee online.

Pattern of the Sainik School Exam (AISSEE):

The entrance exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
